DESCRIPTION:Mikey Erg\, von The Ergs und unzähligen anderen Bands wie u.a. The Dopamines und Star Fucking Hipster kommt mit seinem seiner aktuellen Band nach Aachen. In dieser Konstellation sind auch Thib und Le Bazille von den Not Scientists an Bord.   \nDer Support kommt in Form des Aachener Mike Misfit daher. Zu ihm muss an dieser Stelle wohl nur wenig gesagt werden. Dieses Jahr erschien mit „Simple Guy“ nach diversen anderen Projekten sein erstes Soloalbum mit dem er aktuell auf Tour ist und natürlich auch halt in der Raststätte macht. \n———————————————————– \nMikey Erg has played on A LOT of records. He has also toured extensively for the better part of two \ndecades in literally countless bands. It’s possible that not even Mikey himself could come close to listing them all. To start with\, there is of course the band from which he gets his namesake: The Ergs \, New Brunswick\, NJ basements’ favorite sons\, in which Mikey played drums\, sang and was principle songwriter. Additionally\, Mikey has played in\, toured with and performed on records with Dirt Bike Annie\, The Unlovables\, The Dopamines\, Star Fucking Hipsters\, House Boat\, Worriers\, and even sat in with Weston at their recent reunion shows. Comedian and fellow Don Giovanni Records alum Chris Gethard pegged Mikey to play drums in the house band for his weirdo\, fringe late night TV show\, The Chris Gethard Show. Since the disbanding of the Ergs \, Mikey has fostered a solo project that has kept him super busy performing Billy Bragg-style – just a mic and an electric guitar – all over the world. On this tour he’ll be backed by Thib‘ and Le Bazile from Not Scientists. \n \nMike Misfit verbrachte mehr als ein Jahrzehnt als Sänger und mit dem spielen von vier\, fünf oder sechs Saiten in mehreren berühmt lauten und berüchtigt erfolglosen Punkbands\, bevor er 2017 zum ersten Mal mit nichts als einer Akustikgitarre auf die Bühne ging.  \nSeine Texte bewegen sich zwischen Kopf- und Herzschmerz\, Tragik und Komik\, großen Hoffnungen und zerbrochenen Träumen\, während die rotzige Gitarre und seine dunkle\, manchmal heisere Stimme einen direkten Bezug zu seinen Punk-Tagen herstellen. Ein komplettes Album folgt im Frühjahr 2020 auf seine 2018er Debüt-E.P. „Simple Guy“.
